• After communion ciborium is left on the altar. Those who will be staying for adoration are invited to accompany the Blessed Sacrament to the Altar of the Repose located in the hall. Adoration until 9:30pm. All others can leave in silence

Good Friday (April 15) 

No 9:30am daily Mass
Stations of the cross at 3:00 pm
Liturgy at 7:00pm

• No procession
• Liturgy of the Word
• Solemn Intercessions 
• Adoration of the Holy Cross: 
• Process up by the middle aisle to reverence the cross and return to pews by the side aisles as at Communion. 
• Holy Communion: Blessed Sacrament is brought to the altar by EM for distribution.

Easter Vigil (April 16)

MASS at 8:00pm

• Blessing of the fire and preparation of the candle
• Procession of Easter candle
• Easter proclamation (Exsultet) 
• Liturgy of the word
• Gloria recited bells are rung 
• Epistle - Gospel - Homily
• Blessing of the Water & Renewal of Baptismal Promises, sprinkling of the people.

Joint Finance Council Meeting

• Finance Council members from Visitation parish, Saint Ann parish and Saint John of the Woods mission met on April 6, 2022. They reviewed the February 2022 and fiscal year-to-date financial reports. Good news - all finished in the black (income exceeded expenses). We are grateful to our generous parishioners for helping to keep us financially stable.
• The Council received a letter from the Visitation Catholic STEM Academy School Commission outlining the school’s financial request for the 2022-2023 school year. We affirmed our support for the school, agreed to workout a few outstanding details, and approved the request.
• Marc Nuno, Academy Principal, reported the school received an Early Learning Center Grant for $1 million from the State Department of Commerce. The grant can be used for construction of an Early Learning Center. We congratulate Marc and those responsible for preparing and submitting the grant application.

Financial Subcommittee

This group will focus on preparing a draft 2022-2023 budget for the combined parishes. Jeannine Wargo, Thuy-Tien Vo, Ed Williams, and Bob Richardson will serve on this subcommittee

If Mary Magdala met you as she was running from the tomb, what, do you think, she would have said to you? What would you have said to her? The “other disciple” entered the tomb “saw and believed”. What do you think he would have said to you? Can you think of why we celebrate Easter with Easter Bunnies and colored eggs. They have a religious significance. (Check it out on google.)

Activity: The springtime of new life expresses the new risen Life of Jesus that he shares with us. If you have some flowers, or shrubs with new leaves, pick some, and place them on the table as a sign of the Lord’s risen life, draw pictures of flowers, or light a candle that reflects the light of the risen Lord.

• Use turn signals to communicate your intention to others
• Come to a complete stop at all intersections and red lights
• Avoid distracted driving - do not use phone and drive
