Transition Express News
The Archdiocese and the Strategic Planning Team decided that the Naming of the New Parish is very important and a recommendation to start now in the process was approved. Members from the Advisory Team were chosen to implement the Voting Process immediately. The Ballot has been mailed to all registered Parishioners for them to select 3 names from a list of 8 names that will be submitted to the Archbishop for prayerful discernment. Please return your ballot before the deadline of February 18, 2021. Thank you.
Pastoral Plan and Activities
The Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Please read today’s Gospel Luke 6:17, 20 - 26
We listen to Jesus’ Beatitudes as presented in St. Luke’s Gospel. If your Bible has footnotes, read the notes for today’s Gospel. Jesus teaches that happiness and blessings come to those who accept his teachings. Sorrow and woe will trouble those who seek wealth and pleasure.
Dialogue: Talk about the ways you might be poor, hungry, weeping, or why people may hate or exclude you. Read St. Matthew’s version of the Beatitudes (cf. St. Matthew’s Gospel 5:10-10) and compare them to St. Luke’s. Which version do you like the best? Which Beatitude do you like the best? How would you explain one of the Beatitudes or Woes to a friend, to a young child? Can you think of “famous” people who reflect the Beatitudes or the Woes?
Activity: This week (Monday) we celebrate Valentine’s Day. As a family, think of how you might put into practice one of the Beatitudes that day.

LEARN MORE - Jim Byrne with LPI will be working on setting up the advertising for our Bulletin the week of 2-14-2022. Please consider advertising in our bulletin since the revenue from the ads is what will make our bulletin possible and at no cost to our church. The ads are also tax deductible. We also are offering new exclusive (only 3 per landing page) banner sized digital ads on the landing page for the digital format bulletin at www.parishesonline.com
Advertisements can be purchased for a business, or a sponsor ad can be purchased supporting our 3 parishes with a Last Will and Testament or community service organizations such as emergency pregnancy counseling. Please give these ideas some thought. We need and appreciate your help! If you are interested or want more information, you can call Jim at (651-895-4979). St. Ann Parish
Synod Listening Session
Pope Francis invites the entire Church to participate in the Synod on Synodality, which is a two-year process of listening and dialogue to reflect on a theme that is decisive for its life and mission. The mission of the Church requires the entire People of God to be on a journey together, with each member playing his or her crucial role. The purpose of this movement is for all the Church to unite in communion and participation as we move forward and become a more synodal Church in the long term.
As part of the worldwide Synod Process, St. Ann is hosting a Listening Session in the church: Sunday, Feb. 20th after 9:45am Mass
Please join us as we discern together the Church's life and mission and each of the gifts present in our communities as well as our responsibilities to one another as Children of God.
