Announcements
Der St. Rita Friends,
HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Pope St.John XXIII Church. Let me know if you would like to carry the Eucharistic gifts up.
St. Rita Church History Trivia. Last week: Fr. Baffaro had a favorite treat that he ALWAYS gave to neighborhood kids for Halloween Trick of Treat and at the annual parish Christmas Party. What was it? Cracker Jacks - full sized boxes with a valuable prize inside! They sure were better treats than some of the wormy apples neighbors gave out for Halloween? We had awesome Christmas parties for the kids in the church hall every year and Cracker Jacks were ALWAYS one of the treats along with the mesh stockings filled with candies.
This week's question: What did parishioner Larry DiPalma treat us with every year at the kids' Christmas party? Anwer in next week's email. Send your St. Rita history questions for future inclusion!

Christmas Brunch Potluck is Saturday, December13 in the church hall after prayer service. ALL IN THE PARISH ARE INVITED. Bring your favorite brunch goodies. In true St. Rita fashion, there should be plenty to share and TONS of fun! We will have some door prizes! We also appreciate donations for our St. Rita expenses.
We have heat! The vandalized church heat pumps were both replaced and are working great. We plan on having a fundraiser on Sunday, February 15, to recoup some or all of the $20,000 expense. If you know anyone who would be a major sponsor, please contact them to donate or offer a matching gift challenge! Refer them to me if they want more information. We will celebrate Mass at 1 p.m. followed by a scrumptious Italian dinner. All are invited to Mass, but the dinner tickets will be presold and limited by the fire code capacity of the church hall, There will also be a raffle and donated prizes are appreciated. More info after Christmas. Let me know if you would like to serve on the planning committee or in some other capacity (Minister at Mass including music, ticket sales, set up/decorating, clean up, prize procurement, sponsor procurement donations, programs or ???). Many hands make light work.,
We are updating our St. Rita member registry. If you are not sure if you are on the St. Rita list of parishioners and want to be, call PSJXXIII, 253-472-1360, and make sure you are added. You can also be added to their weekly bulletin email.

Parish Family- Facilities Team
We need parishioners to join our facility team. Volunteering as part of the facility team is a beautiful way to serve God and your parish community. By helping care for the church, you contribute to maintaining a sacred space where we gather to worship, pray, and seek comfort. Your efforts, no matter how small, help create a welcoming and peaceful environment for others to encounter God. It's a humble and rewarding form of stewardship that allows you to give back to the church that nourishes your faith, while also strengthening bonds with fellow parishioners as you work together for a common purpose.
