SACRIFICIAL GIVING RENEWAL 2023

Thanks to 96 families who have already returned your Parish Stewardship commitment card.  We expect everyone else to prayerfully evaluate your giving to the parish and community and after praying, fill out your commitment card and return it.

If you have a circumstance that prevents you from committing money this year, you are still a valued member of this church and we urge you to return your commitment card with the word, prayer, on it.  Thank you

 You have the option of returning the Stewardship of Treasure Commitment Card by mail, collection basket, or by pledging online at Sacrificial Giving Renewal Form 

FEED THE HUNGRY MINISTRY

There will be paper bags in the sanctuary the weekend of 11/19-20 and Thanksgiving day to collect food and personal care items going to Feed the Hungry Ministry.  Personal care items include toothbrush, toothpaste, travel size shampoo, lotions, hand sanitizer, & bars of hand soap.

GIVING TREE

Beginning November 27th the First Sunday of Advent, Sr Anna will be setting up the giving tree for the homebound and nursing home Christmas gifts.

Please take a tag and bring back the gift unwrapped before Dec .18th and place than under the tree. Anyone can participate. Thank you.

The Weekend of Dec. 10/11 the Statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe be in the church for her Feast on Monday Dec. 12th. Our Lady of Guadalupe pray for us

CHRISTMAS FOOD DRIVE

(pick-up date Dec 16 at South Tacoma Chapel)

We are collecting food donation to prepare Christmas basket. Please give a hand and help us in this ministry to the poor. Your generosity and support is VERY helpful, encouraging and essential to the success of our Ministry to The Poor

Please bring non-perishable food items to Mass and place in the box at the entrance of church. Each item is greatly appreciated! Suggested items are: canned sweet potatoes, small marshmallows, olives, boxed cake mix, cake frosting, gravy in jar or can, canned cranberries, cream of mushroom soup, jello, string beans, gift cards or money for ham and other groceries.

ADVENT RETREAT

We will be having an advent retreat on Dec 3 & 4 at Pope St. John XXIII Parish

• Sat, 12/3, right after the 4:30pm Mass (theme: Emmanuel, God is with us)

• Sun, 12/4, right after the 9:45am Mass (the role of Jesus Christ as Holy Redeemer)
