Stewardship of Treasure Renewal 2023

Thanks to 69 families who have already returned your Parish Stewardship commitment card.  We expect everyone else to prayerfully evaluate your giving to the parish and community and after praying, fill out your commitment card and return it as soon as possible.

Your commitment will allow us to establish the budget for next year to support many ministries, formation programs, sacraments, liturgies, facilities maintenance and projects which are to sustain our church. 

If you have a circumstance that prevents you from committing money this year, you are still a valued member of this church and we urge you to return your commitment card with the word, prayer, on it.  Thank you

The Pledge cards have been mailed to your houses, they are also available in the pews and on website.  You have the option of returning the Stewardship of Treasure Commitment Card by mail, collection basket, or by pledging online at Sacrificial Giving Renewal Form 

We pray for our faith community, that our Stewardship of Treasure to God’s people including our prayers, will be remembered as our expression of gratitude for what God has given to us

Senior Lunch

Meditation / Memory Garden

Behind the rectory & connected to the large cross is an area known as the “Meditation/Memory Garden”. This garden belongs to St. JOHN  OF THE WOODS parishioners. We are asking for a rock to be placed with your family name (Living Or Deceased) in the blank space behind the cross in the garden. 

No statues please! This is for all the families that have supported and grown with SJOW over the years. 

Feed The Hungry Ministry

There will be paper bags in the sanctuary the weekend of 11/19-20 and Thanksgiving day to collect food and personal care items going to Feed the Hungry Ministry.  Personal care items include toothbrush, toothpaste, travel size shampoo, lotions, hand sanitizer, & bars of hand soap.

Thanksgiving Food Drive

Last chance to give food for Thanksgiving Baskets Wednesday November 16th. All food is being collected in the church and the church is open on Wednesday until 11:00am.

If you know anyone who is needing assistance with food for Thanksgiving, please let them call 253-474-0835, Tuesdays or Thursdays, 9:30AM-11:30AM
