Moving the Ambo

The ambo was moved to the other side of the sanctuary. Liturgical norms have the ambo placed on that side. Also since the choir moved to that side of the sanctuary it will be easier for them to sing responsorial palm. The presider’s chair will move to where the ambo is now which will accommodate seating for deacons or priest concelebrating. It will take some getting used to the move but trust that we all will adjust to this as we have adjusted to so many things in our little church.

Ground Maintenance Program

Thank you all so much for signing up to help maintain our church grounds. We still have a few spaces that need to be maintained. Come check the Binder in the Church to sign up for you and the whole family.

Volunteer Needed

We are looking for a volunteer to pray the Rosary and/or the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy before the 8am Sunday Mass. Please consider this ministry, if interested contact: Mary Cabrera at 253-208-2462

Summit Christian Preschool

Summit Christian Preschool (founded in 1972) has a long history of serving children and young families in this community. We are currently enrolling for the 2022-23 school year here at St. John of the Woods Mission. Our faith based, "learning through play" approach has proven very successful. Please see the bulletin and the flyer at the entrance of the church for more details.
