ARCHDIOCESAN CAMPAIGN - ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL 2023

“Give, and it will be given to you.” Luke 6:38 is the theme of this year’s Annual Catholic Appeal, and this weekend kicks of the 2023 Campaign.

The Annual Catholic Appeal funds ministries and services for your local Catholic community across Western Washington.

This combined effort of parishes and missions ensures the availability of outreach ministries, education, faith formation, administration services for parishes and much more! You should have received Archbishop Etienne’s in-depth letter this week highlighting the ministries that support our communities.

This year, our parish has set goals of $24,963. We believe we can achieve this with your generosity. All gifts received over our goals will be returned to the parish for our parish project which is “new sound system"

Please prayerfully consider how you can participate in helping our parish be a light to others.

FAITH FORMATION

CONFIRMATION MASS: May 10th at 6:00 PM at PSJXXIII by Archbishop Paul Etienne

FIRST COMMUNION MASS

• May 6th, 9:00 AM at STC
• May 20th, 10:00 AM at SJOW
• May 27th, 4:30 PM at PSJXXIII

First communion and confIrmation students need to have their prayers memorized: Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Act of Contrition and 10 Commandments. Fr. Tuan will schedule to interview the students in April and May. Parents please help your children to study these prayers at home.

SENIOR LUNCH

Our Next Senior Lunch will be Wednesday May 3rd in the parish hall at 11:30am. Please join us and enjoy a great lunch.

BIBLE STUDY

SUMMIT CHRISTIAN PRESCHOOL

Summit Christian Preschool at St. John of the Woods is now taking registration for fall 2023.

Our faith based program is filled with fun learning opportunities to prepare your child for Kindergarten. We have openings for children who are 3, 4, & 5.

COLLECTING ITEMS FOR BABY

We will be collecting new items for newborn to toddlers beginning Mother’s day May 14th thru May 28th.  The collection area will be set up near the sanctuary. Items include but are not limited to t-shirts, blankets, bibs, diapers, clothing. Thank you for your  generosity

MONTHLY BREAKFAST

Join us for the Parish Breakfast Sunday May 7th from 8am to 11am . It’s a great breakfast and a nice time to share with friend and family. We will not be serving after 11:30am Mass so plan to join us early that morning. For your information we will not have coffee hour on the Sunday we have our parish breakfast.

May Crowning and Children's Mass will be May 7, 2023 at 11:30am. Please come and join the children as we honor  Mary.
