ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL
‘We have received 2022 year-to-date Annual Appeal rebates of $7,699 that will be used to replace the new carpet for religious education center. Thank you to all who have paid AND continue to pay their Annual Appeal pledge’
RITE OF SENDING
The rite of sending for RCIA candidates will be at 4:30pm Mass at Pope St. John XXIII parish this Saturday, Feb 4.
Candidates and sponsors need to be present at this rite. Please continue to pray for RCIA candidates and catechumen
PARISH BREAKFAST
February 5, from 8am to 11am
Menu: Island fried rice, Sausage w/ Gravy, Hash Browns Scrambled eggs, Pancakes, Biscuits, Tea, Coffee, Juice, Cider and Hot Chocolate.
We will not be servring after the 11:30am Mass. So plan to join us early for a great breakfast.

ANNOUNCE THE LOSS OF DICK SEVERSON
With the faith in Christ's death and resurrection, we announce the death of Dick Severson, a long time and faithful member of St. John of the Woods Mission. Dick is called to God's home today Feb 1, 2022. He will be greatly missed by all his family, friends, and the community of St. John of the Woods Mission.
The community of St. John of the Woods Mission Church honors and appreciates all the good works and contributions of Dick. We will never forget a man with a beautiful smile, a warm heart, and a devout spirit. We send condolences, thoughts, and prayers to Donna, Debbie, Dianna, and the family of Dick.
Eternal rest, grant unto him, and let the perpetual light shine upon him. May the soul of Dick, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen

MINISTRY TO THE POOR
Ministries to the Poor thanks you all for your generosity in donating so much food to make the Holiday Season so wonderful for so many.
We have two requests:
1) Please check the dates on all non-perishable items, we ask that you not donate expired food.
2) Please can you make your bags/boxes less heavy. We are not so young anymore and we can’t handle heavy things.
So once again thank you all and consider using 2 bags when bringing food for the poor.
