FIRST COMMUNION CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to 25 candidates who will receive the First Communion at Pope St. John XXIII parish this Saturday, May 27 at 4:30 pm Mass, and 15 first communicants who received the First Communion on Sun, May 21 at 4pm Viet Mass.

We are so grateful for the whole First Holy Communion Team that prepared the children for this Sacrament and made their big day possible: Gloria Montes, Ching Feliciad Mousel, Louis Matej, Richard McMakin, Don McMakin, B. Huong Doan, Hien Tran, Thuan Nguyen and Agnes Burns

DIACONATE ORDINATION

The Archdiocese of Seattle joyfully announces the Mass of Ordination to the Diaconate of Max Munoz on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 7:00pm at Holy Spirit Parish in Kent by the Most Reverend Eusebio Elizondo.

Seminarian Max had helped out with ministries at Pope St. John XXIII and St. John of the Woods during summer. Please join us in congratulating Max on his diaconate ordination. 

MARRIAGE PREPARATION CLASS

Dear Parents and friends, thank you who have supported Pope Saint John XXIII Preschool during the past year. Time flies so fast; each of your children has brought such joy and happiness to our classroom. Thank you for sharing your most precious gift with us. We have seen them grow and blossom as independent individuals.   

We also want to give a big thank you to Ms. Helen Talbo, Ms. Beverly Lee, Ms. Thuan Nguyen and to our room mom, Ms. Huyen Nguyen, we appreciate their constant help and support!

We especially thank God for a great school year and are grateful to Father Tuan Nguyen, our pastor, and our parish staff and leaders who provide us a wonderful and educated environment as well as support us in our program.

Thank you graduates for coming everyday – rain or shine to learn and play. Without you there would be no PSJ XXIII Preschool this year.

YARD SALE

Our Annual Yard Sale will be June 1, 2, and 3, Thursday-Saturday, from 9:00-3:00 daily at Pope Saint John XXIII (formerly St. Ann Church), at the corner of Park Ave. and 72nd Street. We will have furniture, clothing, shoes, kitchen and housewares, Christmas, toys, and more.

We hope for volunteers to help set up on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, May 29, 30, and 31, from 9:00-1:00. We'd also love support during the sale to keep things organized and to help customers. We welcome anyone who shows up to help out!
