The Archdiocese of Seattle is making it possible for pastors and parishioners to participate in Sacred Story Institute’s (SSI) four-week Whole-Life Confession program for Lent of 2024. The Institute has agreed to coordinate the logistics to make this pathway to grace and healing available to as many as possible.

Many of you may have participated in a WLC service for Forty Weeks. The stand-alone WLC program is four weeks long with three introductory days.

·       TIME COMMITMENT: The program is self-guided and the pastors time commitment is for the two-hour confession service at the end of the program. You can sign up for as many as you like (see Google Form link below). SSI can work with your team on internal advertising with promotional materials and help with coordination of the program launch at the parish level.

·       SCHEDULE: The WLC calendar for the Archdiocese of Seattle for this Lenten pastoral option is attached. There will be six cohort/parish groups and the cohort/parish groups will have six different start times (a day apart) to accommodate a staggered schedule for the confession services (likely by deanery).

·       OPTIONS ON RESOURCES: We will steer English language speakers to our WLC Course as the best option. We have the WLC Program in book form for Spanish speakers. The book is also in English.
